实验室主任董燕萍教授和2016级博士研究生钟飞参加了4月2至5日由芬兰图尔库大学举办的第三届学习与大脑可塑性会议。
本次大会聚焦于语言学习、双语认知优势、注意控制以及经颅直流电刺激技术应用等几个方面。董燕萍教授和钟飞做了题为“Interpreting experience enhances early attentional processing, conflict monitoring and interference suppression along the time course of processing” 报告。这项研究从认知加工的整个时间进程上展示了口译训练对译员认知控制能力带来的影响,即口译训练首先会显示出早期注意加工的优势,之后会依次展现出冲突监测和干扰抑制,而这些优势可能都来自于口译训练对注意系统的提升。此研究吸引了众多与会者的目光。他们表示,本研究有着很好的切入点和研究价值,且其一大优势在于被试的同质性,这一点使得实验的结果更加稳定可靠。此外,董燕萍教授和钟飞还同该领域的专家学者就其他一些相关话题进行了深入探讨。
Prof. Dong and PhD candidate Zhong attended LaP meeting
Professor DONG Yanping and PhD candidate ZHONG Fei were invited to participate in the Third Annual Learning and Plasticity (LaP) meeting held by the University of Turku in Finland from April 2nd to 5th.
The conference focused on topics of language learning, cognitive effects of bilingualism, attentional control and the application of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS). Professor Dong and Phd candidate Zhong reported on “Interpreting experience enhances early attentional processing, conflict monitoring and interference suppression along the time course of processing”. This study demonstrated the effects of interpreting training on interpreters’ cognitive control abilities along the time course of processing. Specifically, interpreting training will firstly lead to an advantage in early attentional processing, and then in conflict monitoring and interference suppression sequentially. This might be due to the enhancement of interpreting training on the supervisory attentional system, which may be responsible for other processes mentioned above. The research was highly appreciated by other participants for its well-controlled homogeneous experiment takers as well as its ingenious theoretical perspective. They also had in-depth discussions on related topics with researchers in the field.
