ProfessorYanping Dongand PhD candidateYinghui Liwere invited to give a paper presentation on Monterey Forum 2015 at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies from March 28th to 29th. Their study examined and revealed beginning student interpreters' developmental features in using strategies for consecutive interpreting tasks, which triggered a heated discussion among the audience. On the Forum, both interpreting researcher and practitioner Professor Daniel Gile and Organizing Committee Member Professor Minhua Liu expressed their great interest in research on interpreting from a psycholinguistic perspective. The theme of this Forum is “educating translators, interpreters, and localizers in an evolving world”. The Institute is a world-renowned school in educating interpreters.
